Deck & Fence Cleaning
Wood-safe mid-pressure with oxalic acid brightener. Restores cedar and pressure-treated pine without fuzzing grain. Ready to stain in 48 hours.
How we approach deck cleaning on Long Island.
Decks are a balance: enough pressure to lift weathered fiber, not enough to chew the wood. We run 1,200–1,800 PSI with a 25-degree tip, move with the grain, and finish with a 2-step oxalic acid brightener that neutralizes the cleaner and restores the natural wood color.
Pressure-treated pine, cedar, mahogany, and composite each get a different recipe. Composite is low-pressure only (0–500 PSI) — we're just rinsing with a mold inhibitor. Cedar is the most forgiving. PTP pine is the most finicky because the latewood soaks up cleaner unevenly.
If you're planning to re-stain, get the deck washed 48 hours before the stainer arrives. We coordinate with most LI deck refinishers.
